FAQ
How many pictures will we receive?
Most photographers will say you get between this and this but for MTG Photography I do things differently. It depends on what type of shoot you choose and how long your shoot lasts. my philosophy is that you paid for your shoot so you are entitled to all of the good photos that we take. I give and edit all of the selected photos that I take at your shoot.
What should I wear?
I love neutral tones/colors for two reasons. 1) Because it makes editing easier and 2) if you are hanging your photos up in your home, neutrals will go well with many themes and styles within your home. Bright colors and lots of pattern can be a distraction within your pictures. BUT your pictures will turn out best if you are confident and comfortable in what you are wearing. If you have any questions in picking an outfit I am always happy to help :)
Do you have a second photographer available for my shoot?
Yes I do! I highly suggest a second photographer for weddings because it is very helpful in getting all of those memorable shots, especially during your ceremony. If you are wanting a second photographer for a different shoot, let me know and we can see how we can make it happen!
Can I include my pet in my photoshoot?
My answer is always yes! I love pets! BUT with animals that don't always want to cooperate so I can't guarantee that your photos will turn out exactly like you want them but I will get as close as I can! Also, it may take some more time depending how behaved your pet is so keep that in mind as well.
What do I do if I don't feel comfortable in front of the camera?
I have taken photos of people who are camera shy and have body dysmorphia, it is definitely something we can get through together! I often create games and silly actions for my clients to do to help them warm up to the idea of being in front of a camera. These "games" often create the best photos and the most genuine smiles.
Can I pick my own location and/or poses?
Yes! I actually recommend it. I want your pictures to be where and how you want them. I can always make recommendations but I would rather you pick the place and style that is best suited for you!
What camera do you use and what editing software do you use?
I take all my pictures with a Cannon Rebel T6. And I edit all photos using Adobe Lightroom.

Can you do indoor shoots?
Of course! We can take pictures where ever you want. I will say I do not have a studio BUT there is a website/app called "Peerspace" that has studios and indoor spaces that you can rent out by the hour. There is also Air B&B as well that rents by the day. There are are also free places around town and even your own home. We have TONS of options!
Do you have payment plans available?
Yes! I try to keep my prices affordable but I completely understand that some times you can't always pay it all at once. No need to be concerned just reach out and we can talk about it!
How do I receive my photos?
I use a program called Pixieset. I create a personalized gallery for each photoshoot that only you and I can access with a 4 digit code. Then you as client can download those photos to you mobile device or computer for easy viewing of your photos. It can be used to share highlights, or sneak peeks from your photo shoot. If you need help downloading them I have step-by-step instructions here on my website. Just look for "How to download my photos" on the main menu :)
Can I share my photos on my social media?
Yes! They are your photos after all. And I encourage it! If you post them I would GREATLY appreciate if you would tag me but its not a requirement. 99% of the time people hear about my business by word of mouth and social media posts. So, please do!
Can you take pictures of those with disabilities?
Yes of course! I can and will make accommodations for those who need it. Have a harder time with focusing, over stimulation, and/or sitting still? We can take all the time and breaks you need! I just want everyone to feel comfortable and safe during their photoshoot.
Can I pick more than one location?
Of course! I love a change of scenery. Locations within the same town are just fine but I will say changing locations does take extra time. So, if you are wanting more photos you may want to think about adding more time onto your shoot or picking a second location close by. Locations in other towns are fine as well but I do charge for milage as well as time.
Can I pick my own editing presets (filters) or edit the photos myself?
I try to find and pick presets (filters) that are complementary to your photos as well as fits my editing style. If I create an edit that you don't like please let me know! I do not want you getting edited pictures that you don't like or are trying to edit later.
